Drop-off & Pick-up Procedures
For the safety of our students, please consistently observe our drop-off and pick-up procedures:
A.M. Curbside Drop-Off: This will take place in the large parking lot on the south side of the school along the red curb. Please enter the parking lot off 36th Street and pull forward before letting your child(ren) out of the vehicle at the south gate.
P.M. Curbside Pick-Up: This will also take place in the large parking lot on the south side of the school along the red curb. Please enter the parking lot off 36th Street and pull forward. The farther you pull forward, the less traffic is backed up on 36th street. Please display the sign in the front passenger side window that states your child's name and grade. Kindergarten students may not be picked up curbside. Parents will need to park in the south parking lot and wait for their child by the Kindergarten doors (N).
Buses and Day Care Vans: Students riding the bus or day care van will enter through the north entrance. Students are not allowed to be dropped off or picked up anywhere in the north parking lot at the front of the school.
South Parking Lot for Drop-Off and Pick-Up: You may use this large parking lot to park your car and escort your child to and from school. Students must be escorted across the crosswalk by a parent.
Please do not park in the neighborhood around the school. Your child’s safety is our utmost concern and we do not have supervised staff on duty on the neighborhood streets. Also, some of those areas are posted “no parking” zones by the city and police will ticket you in those posted areas.
Students who are walking/biking home to the north or across 36th street will enter/exit through the north gate of the school. Students living to the south will enter/exit through the south gate between Colina and CMS.
